David, a man after God's own heart.
Did you know that David fell into sin with Bathsheba committing adultery !! He knew the wrong that he had done and deeply regretted his sin, in the book of Psalms chapter 51 David tells the Lord "for I know my transgressions and my sin is always before me." Even after falling into sin with Bathsheba, David fell once again!! But the Lord's mercy and grace were with David, and David recognized the forgiveness of the Lord in his life. In the book of Psalms chapter 86, David, says "For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell." You see although we fall into sin God's mercy is always with us but first, we must repent and come back to Christ. David was known as a man after God's own heart even after falling into sin; there is nothing impossible for the Lord, no sin that he can't remove from us, we must seek the Lord, and get into his presence learning of his Holiness and love by getting into his Word. It is time we return to the one who turned to us, although undeserving we are he still decided to die on the cross for us because of his amazing Love!! Because of Christ we are advantageous (Glory to God) but think twice before you try to take advantage of the omnipotent GOD!!
(The Hebrew word for repent is teshuva a Verb! it is more than a feeling of guilt and regrets, it means To return to the one you turned away from)
